Vijayawada: The AP power utilities have successfully restored power in most of the cyclone- affected areas across the state without any additional interruption to power supply.

Secretary to energy department, K Vijayanand, said the electricity department stated this during a meeting he held with power utilities on power restoration works here.

He said that APTRANSCO has restored power for 14 out of 17 affected feeders and the remaining 3 feeders

--Sullurupeta-2, Manubolu and Sullurupeta-3 -- remained affected due to waterlogging. It might take around 10 days for restoration of power to these.

Alternative power supply arrangements were already made for these areas, said APTRANSCO director for grid, AKV Bhaskar.

A few interior locations still had waterlogging. The works would be taken up to restore power as soon as the water recedes, he said.
