Pranab Mukherjee to attend Satyagrah centenary event in Patna today

President Pranab Mukherjee will embark on one day visit to Patna today to participate in ongoing centenary celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi’s Champaran Satyagraha.

President Mukherjee will attend felicitation ceremony to honour freedom fighters across the country.Freedom fighters of different parts of the countries have come Patna to participate this memorable event.

About three thousand freedom fighters of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh,Andhra Pradesh Telegana, Tamil Nadu, Maharastra



,Haryana and other states will be felicitated today.

The state government will honour those freedom fighters who could not attend this function due to health or other reasons. Women freedom fighters will also be felicitated.Bihar Governor Ram Nath Kovind and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will grace the occasion.

Representatives of different political parties inclunding Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi have also been invited to felicitate freedom fighters.
