Pre-monsoon rain lashed several parts of the country in last 24 hours bringing relief to people from the sultry heat. Heavy to very heavy rain was witnessed in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi yesterday.
Cyclone Vayu has weakened and crossed Kutch district in Gujarat yesterday morning, causing rainfall at some places in the state. Remnant of the Cyclonic Storm now lies as a low-pressure
area over Kutch and adjoining areas over southwest Rajasthan. The MeT office said, rain is likely to continue till today in Kutch, Saurashtra and north Gujarat regions because of its impact.
