Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu has said that the philosophy of Antodaya is very important as it brings the fruits of development to the socio-economically and educationally backward people. Addressing a civic reception program organized at the Raj Bhawan in Odisha's capital Bhubaneswar, the President said a country or society can be said to be truly developed when the fruits of development reach the marginalized.
On the occasion, she called upon the youths to make India a leading nation in the world through their dedication and hard work. The program was attended by governor Ganeshi Lal, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and many other
dignitaries.
Stating that the holistic development of the country lies in the development of all the states, the President wished that the campaign to make prosperous India all the more prosperous begin from Odisha. Recalling the glorious past of Odisha, she said the state has contributed immensely to India's treasure trove of art, craft, and architecture.
Earlier in the day she visited the Sri Jagannath Temple in Puri and offered tributes at multiple statues of the great sons of Odisha both in Puri and Bhubaneswar. She is scheduled to visit a couple of high schools in the capital today and after a couple of other engagements, she will return to New Delhi.
