Shimla: President Droupadi Murmu who is on a four-day official visit to Shimla dedicated the Rashtrapati Niwas, Mashobra, earlier known as the 'Presidential Retreat' to the general public yesterday. The people can visit and view the Retreat from the 23rd of this month. It is for the first time that the doors of the 173-year heritage building of Rashtrapati Niwas at Mashobra, have been opened to the general public.

Earlier, President Droupadi Murmu visited the prestigious Indian Institute of Advance Studies at Shimla. She was received and felicitated by the authorities of the Institute. President was given a brief introduction about the historical and archaeological importance of the building and Institute.
