President Droupadi Murmu to pay a two-day visit to Uttar Pradesh begining today

Varanasi/Lucknow: President Droupadi Murmu will be on a two-day visit to Uttar Pradesh beginning today. During her visit, she will grace events in Varanasi and Lucknow.

President will grace the 45th convocation of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith at Varanasi today. Governor AnandiBen Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will welcome President at the airport after which they will reach Vidyapith campus to take part in convocation. 

University spokesperson Dr Navratan Singh informed that a total of 77 thousand 6 hundred 92 degrees will be



distributed in the convocation ceremony in which 16 gold medals will be given by the President in the main program. This year out of 65 gold medals, 51 girl students have bagged the gold medals.

In the same evening, Smt. Murmu will grace the 27 years celebration of Divine Heart Foundation at Lucknow. Apart from this the President will grace the 2nd convocation of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Lucknow on 12th December. In view of the President's programme, strict security arrangements have been made.
