Varanasi: The President of India Droupadi Murmu yesterday visited Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi and performed Pooja there. Later, she also attended the famous Ganga Aarti at the ghat.

In the morning, addressing the students at the 10th convocation of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, she advised the youth to remain connected with their roots and culture so that they can live a meaningful life and become an inspiration for others also.

Speaking on



the occasion, the President reminded students about the struggles Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar faced in his life and said that they can also take inspiration from the life of Dr Ambedkar who struggled a lot but manage to achieve success.

President was on a two-day visit to Uttar Pradesh.  Prior to the convocation function, The president interacted with the tribals of Buxa tribe and distributed them the authority letters provided by State Government.
