President Droupadi Murmu visits Ranchi

President Droupadi Murmu will grace the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of Birla Institute of Technology BIT Mesra in Ranchi today.

The six-month-long celebrations of the engineering institution will begin from 11 am in the morning with the President’s address and continue till 15th of July this year. Several alumni, teachers and students will witness the functions. BIT Mesra is celebrating its 70th



foundation year.

The President arrived on two-day visit to Ranchi yesterday. The President was welcomed by Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar and cabinet minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey at the airport. She stayed overnight at the Governor House. The Governor held detailed discussions with the President on various issues related to the development of the state.
