President Kovind casts his vote in Delhi

President Ram Nath Kovind, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Union Ministers Sushma Swaraj and Dr Harshvardhan, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, BJP candidate from East Delhi Gautam Gambhir and Congress candidates Sheila Dikshit and Ajay Maken were among those who cast their votes in early hours of polling in the national capital. 

Mr. Ram Nath Kovind cast his vote at a booth in Rashtrapati Bhawan while Sonia Gandhi cast hers in Nirman Bhawan. Rahul Gandhi exercised his franchise at a polling booth in Aurangzeb Lane. Arvind Kejriwal cast his vote at a polling station in Civil Lines area.      
     
Sushma Swaraj cast her vote at a booth in Aurangzeb Lane, Dr Harshvardhan cast his vote in Krishna Nagar, Manish Sisodia in Pandav Nagar, Gautam Gambhir in Old Rajinder Nagar, Sheila Dikshit in Nizamuddin East



and Ajay Maken in Rajouri Garden area. 

Former Vice President Hamid Ansari cast his at a booth in Nirman Bhawan. Congress General Secretary for Uttar Pradesh(East) Priyanka Gandhi Vadra cast her vote in Lodhi Road. 

Union Minister Hardeep Puri, Delhi BJP Chief Manoj Tiwari, party candidate, Meenakshi Lekhi,  Aam Aadmi Party candidates  Dilip Pandey and Atishi were also among the voters who exercised their franchise in the early hours. 

Delhi's oldest voter, 111-year old Bachan Singh cast his vote at a polling booth in Sant Garh. Till the last assembly elections in 2015, the centenarian cycled to the polling booth to cast his vote. This time, he reached the booth in a car along with poll officers in full media glare. Jasbeer Singh, son of Bachan Singh claims his father has never missed out on an election since 1951.
