President Kovind declares abrogation of provisions of Article 370

President Ram Nath Kovind has declared abrogation of the provisions of Article 370 of the Constitution, which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir.

A Gazette Notification to this effect has

been issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice. The move came after both houses of Parliament, Rajya Sabha on Monday and Lok Sabha Tuesday, passed a resolution in this regard.
