President Ram Nath Kovind has said that India has not only been Atmanirbhar in covid-19 vaccine production but also has been sending vaccines to other countries at no or low cost. Inaugurating a super specialty hospital in Rourkela in Odisha yesterday, he said India is currently undergoing the largest ever vaccination drive in history while hoping for an early riddance from the virus. President expressed concern over the low enrollment of girls in technical and scientific institutions in the country.
Addressing
the 18th convocation of NIT in Rourkela, he said growth and excellence of women in technical areas will add new dimensions to our national development. In the last leg of his visit to Odisha, President is scheduled to visit Puri in the forenoon today to offer prayers at Sri Mandir. He will then visit the world famous Sun Temple at Konark-a World Heritage site and the Indian Oil Foundation Trust Interpretation Centre there before flying back to New Delhi later in the evening today.
