President Kovind says no region can develop without peace

President Ram Nath Kovind has said no region can develop without peace. Speaking at a civic reception organised by the Tripura government in Agartala last evening, Mr Kovind said, the Centre is making sincere efforts to develop the state as well as entire northeastern region. He also declared ‘Queen’ variety of pineapple as state food in the



function. 

The President also appreciated youth of the state and cited many names of famous sportspersons in this regard. Talking about women empowerment, Mr Kovind said, Tripura is ahead in empowering them. He also emphasized that Tripura can play an important role in boosting the trade with the ASEAN countries.
