New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind will be on a four-day visit to Himachal Pradesh beginning today. Tomorrow, President will address the special session of the Legislative Assembly which is being organized to commemorate the golden jubilee of statehood celebrations.

President after APJ Abdul Kalam and Pranab Mukherjee to address the state legislative assembly. The event will be attended by the all sitting and former members of the House, including some political stalwarts besides other dignitaries. An all-party meeting was also held yesterday to review the arrangements for the proposed visit of the President.
Speaker of the Assembly Vipin Parmar has said that over 73 former MPs and MLAs have given their consent to be part of this mega event. Strict COVID-19 norms are being put in place for all those attending the special session. The President will also attend the Valedictory Ceremony of the Indian Audit and Accounts Service officers as the chief guest at the National Academy of Audit and Accounts at Shimla on Saturday.
