President Ram Nath Kovind will today begin a four day visit of West Bengal, Mizoram and Nagaland. He will attend a Civic Reception hosted in his honour at the Netaji Indoor Stadium in Kolkata today. He will address a ‘Vigyan Chintan - Scientific Ecosystem event at Raj Bhavan in the day.
The President will visit the birthplace of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore at Jorasanko and Netaji Bhawan in Kolkata tomorrow.He will also address the closing ceremony of the centenary celebrations of the Bose Institute in Kolkata and visit
the Ramakrishna Mission and Math at Belur.
In Mizoram, Mr Kovind will inaugurate housing complexes for economically weaker sections under the Basic Services to Urban Poor Scheme at the Raj Bhavan tomorrow. On Thursday, he will address a special session of the Mizoram Legislative Assembly.Mr Kovind will meet and interact with various prominent citizens and NGOs in Kohima, Nagaland on Thursday. On Friday, he will inaugurate the Hornbill Festival and the Formation Day celebrations of Nagaland in Kisama.
