Patna: President Ram Nath Kovind will reach Patna today on a three-day visit to Bihar. During the visit, President Kovind will participate in the celebration marking the centenary of the Bihar Legislative Assembly building tomorrow. The President will also lay the foundation stone of centenary memorial tower (Shatabdi Smriti Stambh) and plant the sapling of a Bodhi tree in the assembly premises, before addressing the main function.
Elaborate security arrangements have
been made in view of the President's visit.
Bihar Assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha said, through centenary celebration, the new generation will come to know about the glorious past of the assembly.
Before returning to Delhi on Friday, President Kovind is scheduled to visit Takhat Sri Harimandir Sahib Ji in Patna Sahib, the Vipasana centre at Buddha Smriti Park and Khadi Mall in Patna.
