President Droupadi Murmu has appealed to all educational institutions and teachers to encourage daughters to acquire higher education and become self-reliant. Addressing the convocation ceremony of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya in Indore yesterday, the President said that with the support and guidance of parents and teachers, daughters can dream big and achieve those dreams, allowing true partnership in the country’s development.
Ms. Murmu encouraged students to base their future career choices on their
abilities and interests, assuring them that success will follow if this path is chosen. The President said that it is by the ideals of Devi Ahilyabai that today the number of female students receiving medals in this university has surpassed the male students.
The President also praised Indore city which has ranked first in India’s Swachhta Survey seven times in a row and said that the residents of Indore have set an extraordinary example in the field of cleanliness
