President Pranab Mukherjee will arrive in Kolkata today on a three-day visit to West Bengal. He will inaugurate the 185th Anniversary of Calcutta Chamber of Commerce this evening and also formally open the painting exhibition of Shahbuddin Ahmed in the city. Mr. Mukherjee is slated to deliver the Debranjan Mukherji Memorial Lecture at Raj Bhavan in Kolkata tomorrow.
He will also attend an unveiling ceremony at a temple in adjacent Howrah later in the day. Mr. Mukherjee will open the closing ceremony of the bicentenary celebrations of the Diocese of Calcutta at St. Paul Cathedral in the city in the evening. He will also grace the concluding function of 125th Birth Anniversary celebration of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru.
