President Ram Nath Kovind will be on a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir from today. He will reach Jammu in the afternoon and will address the 5th Annual Convocation of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Jammu. The President will have night halt in Jammu and visit the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi tomorrow.
The President will be the Chief Guest at IIM's convocation ceremony and will deliver the convocation address. Union Minister of State for PMO, Dr. Jitendra Singh and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will be the Guests of Honour
at the function. The President will also inaugurate the Diversity Cell at IIM, Jammu.
A total of 214 students will be conferred with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree this year. The main highlight of the convocation is that 77 female students will be awarded the degrees.
The IIM, Jammu will be conferring the Chairperson’s Gold Medal, Director’s silver medal and Chairperson MBA Bronze Medal to the meritorious students for their scholastic performance.
