Prime Minister of Spain Pedro Sanchez arrived in India on a three-day visit. He accompanied by his spouse, Begona Gomez. In a statement, External Affairs Ministry said that this will be his first visit to India. The visit of the Prime Minister of Spain is taking place after 18 years. Earlier, Prime Minister Modi and Prime Minister Sanchez have met several times on the sidelines of multilateral meetings.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Spanish counterpart Pedro Sanchez will hold delegation-level talks and will also jointly inaugurate the TATA Aircraft Complex for the manufacturing of C-295 Military aircraft in Vadodara today. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the Bharat Mata Sarovar at Dhudhala in Amreli. The PM will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various development projects worth over 4800 crore rupees at Lathi in Amreli district. The projects include various developmental works related to rail, road, water development and tourism sectors.
External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar will also call on Prime Minister Sanchez during his visit. Prime Minister Sanchez will also visit Mumbai, where he will interact with trade and industry leaders, think tanks, and the film industry. A number of MoUs and agreements are expected to be signed during the visit, which shall give a fillip to bilateral cooperation.
