The Supreme Court will hear the petition filed by suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma on Tuesday. The petition has been listed before the top court tomorrow.
The case will be heard by a bench comprising Justice Surya Kant and Justice JB Pardiwala.
Nupur Sharma, who is facing nine FIRs for her alleged statement against her controversial remarks against Prophet Mohammad moved the apex court seeking, stay of her arrest in any of the FIRs. She also sought to pursue her previous petitions rescinding her request for its withdrawal following criticism from the SC bench.
Nupur Sharma said that after the Supreme Court held her responsible for the country's
unrest, her threat to life has increased.
Her latest petition has been listed before the same bench which heard her first petition during vacations.
Nupur Sharma's remarks against Prophet Mohammad had sparked a massive controversy and multiple FIRs were registered against her.
On Monday evening, she approached the SC again to club all the FIRs registered against her in Delhi as the first complaint was filed there.
The former BJP spokesperson moved the top court saying that she has been constantly receiving rape and death threats after the SC's strong criticism against her comments. She has pleaded for clubbing the FIRs at Delhi.
