A Pune court on Friday (June 21) granted bail to the father of the minor accused in the Porsche car accident case in which two people died last month. Vishal Agarwal got the bail in primary case where he was booked under sections 75 & 77 of the Juvenile Justice Act. Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshta, both IT engineers working in Pune, were killed when a speeding Porsche car hit them from behind on May 19.
Notably, Agarwal has got bail in the first case registered against him. Two more cases are registered against him and he has been granted bail in the case of negligence towards a
minor.
The father of the 17-year-old boy who was involved in a car accident that claimed the lives of two people in Maharashtra’s Pune was arrested from Aurangabad, the police said May 21. The police action came after the father of the accused and the bar which served liquor to the juvenile accused were booked under Sections 75 and 77 of the Juvenile Justice Act.
Lawyer of the father of the minor accused, Advocate Prashant Patil, said, "My client has been granted bail by the Sessions Court in Pune. It is his duty to abide by the conditions imposed by the Court and shall continue to cooperate with the investigation agency".
