The month of November this year turned out to be unusually cold for Maharashtra, with Pune, Nashik, and Ahilyanagar districts experiencing cold wave or near-cold wave conditions. The temperature in these districts was 10 degree Celsius or lower.
The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for cold waves in some districts over the next three days. The cold is intensifying, with temperatures dropping significantly across the state.

Meteorological Department of Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Agricultural University recorded the lowest temperature of 8°C in Parbhani district. In Vidarbha, temperatures were also low, with Amravati district reaching 12 degrees Celsius and Dharani-Chikhaldari recording 9 degrees Celsius in the morning.
According to the India Meteorological Department, in Mumbai, the minimum temperature was 16.5 degrees Celsius yesterday, the coldest day in eight years.
