Punjab Police arrests main associate of radical preacher Amritpal Singh from Kathunangal area of Amritsar

Amritsar: Punjab Police arrested the main associate of radical preacher Amritpal Singh identified as Papalpreet Singh from Kathunangal area of Amritsar yesterday. This information was given by Inspector General of Police, Dr Sukhchain Singh Gill. He said the accused has been detained under the National Security Act. Papalpreet Singh was wanted by the Punjab Police in six criminal



cases.

Addressing a press conference at Punjab Police Headquarters in Chandigarh, the IGP said that Police teams were working on some vital clues amidst the ongoing special operation. Further legal action will be taken in accordance with the law. The IGP appealed to the people to continue maintaining peace and harmony in the state.
