Punjab procures 152,61,635 tonnes of paddy

The largest contributor in the central pool, Punjab has procured total 152, 61,635 tonnes of Paddy till yesterday evening. An official Spokesman said that out of total procurement of 152,61,635 tonnes of paddy in all the procurement centers, the Government agencies procured 150,19,847



tonnes of paddy till now whereas 2,41,788 tonnes of paddy has been procured by millers.

He said that PUNGRAIN had procured maximum 50,25,753 tonnes of paddy. The Food Corporation of India had managed to procure 3,31,919 tonnes of paddy.
