Expressing solidarity with the people of Rwanda, India lit up the Qutub Minar on Sunday, April 8, to mark the 30th anniversary of the 1994 Rwandan genocide.The minaret of the UNESCO heritage site in south Delhi was illuminated in the colors of the Rwandan flag.

“In solidarity with the people of Rwanda,



India lit up the Qutub Minar today, marking the UN International Day of Reflection on the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda. Secy (ER) Dammu Ravi represented India at the 30th commemoration of the genocide today in Kigali,” Randhir Jaiswal, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA spokesperson), said in a post on X on Sunday.
