R K Nagar bypoll:Madras HC rejects plea to suspend results

The Madras High Court has dismissed a petition seeking to declare the byelection won by the AIADMK dissident leader TTV Dhinakaran from RK Nagar seat null and void. 

The PIL alleged that the win was aided by huge disbursal of money. However, the first bench led by



Chief Justice Indira Banerjee ruled that the court cannot intervene in the case at this stage as the election process has been concluded. The court also refused to regard the case as a PIL and asked the petitioner to approach the Election Commission if he has any grievances.
