Rahul Gandhi appoints three member screening committee for Telangana

Hyderabad: AICC president Rahul Gandhi has appointed a  three-member screening committee as part of the party  move to step up the process for finalising the names of its nominees for ensuing elections to the Telangana State Legislative assembly.

The party sources said that  Congress leaders from the state  called on Rahul Gandhi in Delhi in the day and apprised him of the electoral prospects of the party in the State. He asked them to work hard for the success of the party



nominees.

The Congress spokesperson and Secretary All India Congress Committee from Odissa and former MP, Bhakta Charan Das, former General Secretary of Indian Youth Congress,

Rahul core team member From Tamil Nadu, Jothimani Sennimalai  and  Congress leader from West Bengal and Pranabh Mukherjee’s daughter, Sharmistha Mukherjee  have been appointed  as members of the screening committee.

The screening committee will be visiting the state sometime in the first week of October.
