The motormouth Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Member of Parliament (MP), JC Diwakar Reddy yet again sparked a controversy after he 'advised' Congress president Rahul Gandhi to not only get 'married' but 'marry to a Brahmin girl' only.
JC Diwakar Reddy, who won from Anantpur parliamentary seat, has been six-time MLA on a Congress party ticket but joined TDP ahead of the 2014 general elections.
While addressing a gathering, politician and businessman Reddy (popularly known as JC) said he had advised former All India Congress Committee (AICC) president, Sonia Gandhi to get her son married to a Brahmin girl, so that he can become prime
minister.
Not only did JC give the bizarre advice he also explained the 'logic' behind it. The veteran politician said that if anyone wants to become PM, he or she must have the blessings of people of Uttar Pradesh.
JC also said that even though he won elections a number of times, if he had contested on a Congress ticket in 2014, he would have lost his deposit.
In June 2017, Reddy created a ruckus and vandalised property at Vishakhapatnam Airport after he arrived late and denied the boarding pass. The unruly behaviour led to him being barred from flying on a total of seven airlines, the ban was lifted later.
