Rahul to attend Oomen Chandy's funeral today

Thiruvananthapuram: Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi will attend the funeral of Oommen Chandy who died in Bengaluru on Tuesday. This was disclosed by AICC general secretary K C Venugopal.

"Rahul Gandhi ji will be attending the funeral of Oommen Chandy ji tomorrow. With deep grief, we will respectfully bid farewell to our beloved leader tomorrow at Puthupally, Kottayam," the AICC general secretary

The funeral ceremony will take place at 3.30 pm at St George's Church, Kottayam on Thursday.

Congress president Mallikkarjun Kharge, former presidents Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah and deputy chief minister D K Shivkumar, Tamil Nadu chief minister M K Stalin had paid their homage to the departed leader in Bengaluru on Tuesday.
