Raibareli accident: CBI court sends cleaner, driver into 7 days judicial custody

A CBI court in Lucknow yesterday sent cleaner and driver of the truck involved in Raibareli accident into 7 days judicial custody. Both will be produced in court today for police remand for further investigation.

CBI team is likely to take both to the accident site in Raibareli for further investigation. AIR correspondent reports, A team of agency yesterday reached Raibareli and started second round of investigation at the site where Unnao rape survivor met with an accident on July 28.  

CBI team did recreation of the sequence of



events to get an idea about the reasons of accident. Meanwhile, following Supreme Court orders the uncle of the rape victim Mahesh Singh was yesterday sent from Raibareli jail to Tihar jail in Delhi. 

The district magistrate of Unnao has cancelled three arm licences of accused MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar. As par yesterday's medical bulletin of KGMU trauma Centre Lucknow, the Condition of both the injured in the accident including the rape survivor remains critical but stable. The girl is still on ventilator.
