BJP Leader and Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said today that mega railway redevelopment works are underway in the National Capital.
Briefing the media in New Delhi yesterday, Mr. Vaishnaw said the railways budget for Delhi has witnessed robust allocations in the last ten years. He said budget allocation has reached 582 crore rupees
now, which was 96 crore rupees ten years back, registering a 27 times increase in the allocations.
Mr. Vaishnaw said that redevelopment works at 13 stations in Delhi are underway. He said capacity building at the railway stations is being undertaken to effectively deal with the rising number of passengers.
