New Delhi: Baba Saheb Ambedkar Yatra Bharat Gaurav Tourist train will be flagged off today from New Delhi on the occasion of birth anniversary of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar. The train will be flagged off by Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr. Virendra Kumar and Tourism, Culture, and Development of North Eastern Region Minister G. Kishan Reddy from Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station in New Delhi.

Under the Dekho Apna Desh initiative, the train will cover some of the prominent sites associated with the life of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar. The seven nights and eight days long journey will start from New Delhi and the train will halt at Dr. Ambedkar Nagar at Mhow in Madhya Pradesh which is



the birthplace of Baba Saheb.

Then the train will move towards Nagpur railway station, where tourists will proceed to visit Deekshabhoomi. The train will depart from Nagpur to Sanchi. Sightseeing of Sanchi includes a visit to Stupa and other Buddhist sites.

From Sanchi, the train will travel to Varanasi covering a visit to Sarnath and Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Gaya will be the final destination of the train where the tourists will be taken to the holy site of Bodhgaya to visit the famous Mahabodhi Temple and other monasteries. Important Buddhist sites, Rajgir and Nalanda would also be covered by road. The tour will finally end in New Delhi.
