In Jammu and Kashmir, Banihal-Baramulla train service will resume today after remaining suspended for eleven months. Chief Area Manager, Northern Railways, Srinagar, Saqib Yousuf told that to begin with, only two trains will run today.
He said that the first train will be allowed to move from Baramulla to Banihal at 9:10 AM while the second train will run Banihal to Baramulla
at 11:25 AM. He has asked the public to avoid unnecessary travel and also maintain social distancing while traveling in the trains. Mr Saqib said that more trains will be allowed to run once the Covid-19 related situation normalises.
Rail services were suspended on March 19 last year following the outbreak of Covid-19 in the union territory.
