Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has announced a four-percent reduction in value-added tax (VAT) on petrol and diesel, which will reduce their prices by 2 rupees 50 paise per litre in the state.
Chief Minister made the announced at a public meeting organised in
Rawatsar in Hanumangarh district yesterday as part of her Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra.
VAT on petrol will be reduced from 30 to 26 per cent and on diesel from 22 to 18 per cent. The decision will cost the exchequer 2,000 crore rupees.
