Rajasthan Election 2023: Polling begins for 199 seats; 9.77% voter turnout recorded till 9 am

Rajasthan is voting today to elect members of a new assembly, with the BJP aiming to unseat the ruling Congress led by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. Voting is presently in progress and will continue until 6 pm. A voter turnout of 9.77% was reported till 9 am in the state, according to the Election Commission of India. The outcomes will be announced on December 3. The BJP is contesting on all seats while the Congress has left one seat – Bharatpur – for its ally Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) like the 2018 elections.
