In Rajasthan, religious places closed due to COVID 19 pandemic will be opened to the public from September 7th. The decision was taken at a review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot last evening. Those visiting religious places will have to take mandatory protective measures such as wearing masks and follow social distancing. These places will have to be sanitised from time to time.
The total number of infected people in the state has gone up to 74 thousand 670. More than 1300 cases have been reported in the state on the eleventh
consecutive day yesterday. 304 new cases have been reported in Jodhpur while 295 people were found positive in Jaipur for the first time. Former Tourism Minister Vishvendra Singh and Director of Health Department Dr KK Sharma have also been found infected.
In the last 24 hours, 12 infected persons have lost their lives. Meanwhile, 126 prisoners have been found positive in Barmer Jail after which the district administration has shifted these prisoners to the COVID Center within the prison.
