Home Minister Rajnath Singh reviewed the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir at a high-level meeting in Srinagar yesterday.Governor N N Vohra, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and senior officials from civil administration, police, CRPF and intelligence agencies attended the meeting. Mr Singh complimented the security forces for their successes against militants in the state over the past few months and urged them to maintain their guard.
Home Minister said, the nation is indebted to the supreme sacrifices made by the
Security Forces and no amount of money can compensate their sacrifice. He said, government will again make Jammu and Kashmir into a heaven on earth and no force can stop the country from achieving this goal.
He said, this is his fifth visit to the State within the space of a year. Mr Singh, who is on a four-day visit to the state, is scheduled to address a press conference today in Srinagar before visiting relief camps at Nowshera in Rajouri district and interact with BSF jawans at Rajouri.
