Home Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate 28 major infrastructure projects of the Central Armed Police Forces, Delhi Police and other Central Police Organizations in New Delhi today.
An official release said, Mr Singh will also lay foundation stone for three infrastructure projects of Land Ports Authority of India. These projects, involving 71 non-residential buildings, over five thousand residential quarters and 34 barracks will be constructed at a cost of nearly 1900 crore
rupees.
The projects are spread across 17 States including Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Odisha, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.
The Home Ministry said, the government has been taking various measures to enhance the capacity building of Central Armed Police Forces. It said, in the last five years, over 1773 infrastructure projects of the Central Armed Police Forces have been sanctioned with a total outlay of over 12 thousand crore rupees.
