Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will visit Srinagar today to review the situation in the Kashmir region. During the 2-day visit, Mr Singh is likely to visit some worst violence-hit areas and interact with police and locals.
He will also meet Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, besides political leaders and various delegations.
In the Lok Sabha on Thursday, the Home Minister, during a discussion on the situation in the valley, had said that he will reach out
to people of Kashmir.
He had categorically blamed Pakistan for the unrest saying that terrorism in the valley is Pak-sponsored. The Home Minister has been in touch with the J&K Chief Minister ever since the violence broke out on the 8th of this month.
This will be Home Minister's second visit to Kashmir this month. He had, last, visited on the 1st to review the security situation following a militant attack on a CRPF convoy at Pampore.
