Rajya Sabha member asks got to consider exemption of cancellation charges by Airlines and Railways

New Delhi: A CPI-M member in the Rajya Sabha today asked the government to consider exemption of cancellation charges by Airlines and Railways in view of the threat of Coronavirus.  

Raising the issue during Zero Hour, Elamaran Karim expressed concern over the



spread of the virus saying that it has disturbed the normal life of the people.

Responding to this, Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu observed that the suggestion is worth consideration. He also asked the government to examine the suggestion.
