Rajya Sabha MP from Nagaland Khekiho
Zhimomi passed away following a cardiac arrest at the All India Institute of
Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here this morning. He was 69 years old.
Zhimomi served as the member of Nagaland Legislative Assembly for three times.
He also served as the Cabinet Minister of Industry, Commerce, Mining and Border Affairs in the Government of Nagaland.
Zhimomi started
his political career
as a student leader and was the founding member of Nagaland Students'
Federation.
He was also a successful industrialist in the state.
He had recently visited Myanmar with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval for the signing of peace agreement between several insurgent groups and the Myanmar Government.
Earlier today, the Rajya Sabha mourned his demise.
