Rajya Sabha pays its condolences on passing away of former members

Rajya Sabha today paid its condolences on the passing away of former members KA. RA. Subbian, Shri Virendra Kataria, Manohar Parrikar,  Drupad Borgohain¸ Devi Prasad Singh,  Chaudhary Munvvar Saleem, Vasanthi Stanley, Vishwanatha Menon, Rajnath Singh 'Surya' and S. Sivasubramanian. Chair Person, M. Venkaiah Naidu paid rich tributes to them. Two minutes of silence was observed as a mark of respect to the departed members.

Rajya Sabha also expressed its heartfelt condolences



on the terrorist attacks in New Zealand and  Sri Lanka. Two minutes of silence was also observed as a mark of respect to the departed souls.

The House also expressed its deep condolences on the death of children in the state of Bihar and observed two minutes of silence. Rajya Sabha today praised the services of two members of the house, Dr Manmohan Singh and  Santiuse Kujur whose term came to an end in June 2019.
