Rare rocks for Lord Ram idol reaches Ayodhya from Nepal

Ayodhya: Special rocks from which idol of Lord Ram will be carved out and placed in the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Temple has arrived from the Nepal, a senior functionary of the temple trust here said.

The rocks, also known as



"shilas," arrived late on Wednesday.

The rocks were given to the Shri Ram Janambhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust following special prayers on Thursday afternoon. According to officials, the rocks were also worshiped by 51 vedic teachers.
