Minister for Communication and IT Ravi Shankar Prasad has said that digital inclusion is the most important process and the process must be achieved through technology that is low-cost and homegrown.
Addressing an event in New Delhi, Mr Prasad said, India now has a larger vision where it will reform and perform in order to transform.
He said, Aadhaar card is a digital supplement to one's physical
identity and Government has ensured that the security of this system cannot be penetrated. Mr Prasad said, Aadhaar is the future of digital India. The Minister said, data is emerging as a big asset and in India and it is crucial that the focus should be on generating quality data in the billions. He said, data availability, data utility, data innovation, data commerce and data privacy all must work in coordination.
