The Right to Information (Amendment) Bill 2018 is scheduled to be introduced in the Rajya Sabha today. Public Grievances and Pensions Minister Jitendra Singh will move the Bill to amend the Right to Information Act, 2005.
The Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Bill 2013, the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill 2017 and the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains (Amendment) Bill 2018 are also scheduled to be come up for consideration and passing in the
House.
In the Lok Sabha, the Fugitive Economic Offenders Bill is listed for consideration and passing 2018. The bill provides for measures to deter fugitive economic offenders from evading the process of law in India by staying outside the jurisdiction of Indian Courts, to preserve the sanctity of the rule of law in India.
The Negotiable Instruments (Amendment) Bill, 2017 is also scheduled to be come up for consideration and passing in the Lok Sabha.
