Sameer Wankhede faces department inquiry by NCB in 2 more cases: Sources

Former Narcotics Control Bureau zonal chief Sameer Wankhede, who faced departmental inquiry in connection with Mumbai drugs case, is now facing inquiry in two other cases, sources said.

Wankhede has approached the Bombay High Court, seeking no coercive action in connection



with the departmental inquiry after failing to appear before the NCB despite being issued 11 summons between November 2023 and March 2024.

Apart from the 2021 Cordelia cruise drugs case, Sameer Wankhede is facing departmental inquiry in connection with two other drugs cases.
