Satpura Bhawan fire doused after over 13 hrs of firefighting

Bhopal: In Madhya Pradesh, a massive fire at Satpura Bhawan, Bhopal, was doused after over 13 hours of firefighting. All officials were safely evacuated before the fire spread.

Satpura Bhavan is housing offices of various departments of the Madhya Pradesh government.

The blaze started yesterday evening. The cause is believed to be a short circuit in the AC, but a high-level inquiry



committee has been set up by Government to investigate the exact reason.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan contacted Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and sought necessary aid.

Mr Chouhan also spoke with Prime Minister Narendra Modi over a phone call and informed him about the fire incident.
