The Supreme Court will resume the hearing of Ayodhya land dispute case on the 38th day today after the week-long Dussehra break. A five-judge Constitution bench headed by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, which started the day-to-day proceedings on the 6th of August, has already issued the deadline wrapping up the proceedings.
Fixing the schedule for the final
arguments, the bench had said that 17th of October would be the last day for wrapping up the hearing when the all the parties will have to make the final arguments about the relief they are seeking. The judgment in the matter is likely to be pronounced by 17th of next month, the day the Chief Justice of India will demit the office.
