Visakhapatnam: To ensure safety and maintenance of railway infrastructure in Vijayawada division of South Central Railway, several train services have been cancelled or diverted.
According to a press release, the trains cancelled are:
Train No. 07466 Rajahmundry-Visakhapatnam Passenger Special, departing Rajahmundry between October 2 to October 8. Train No. 07467 Visakhapatnam-Rajahmundry Passenger Special, departing Visakhapatnam between October 2 to October 8.
Train No. 17239 Guntur-Visakhapatnam Simhadri Express, departing Guntur from October 2 to October 8. Train No. 17240 Visakhapatnam-Guntur Simhadri Express, departing Visakhapatnam between October 3 to October 9.
Train No. 22701 Visakhapatnam-Vijayawada Uday Express, departing Visakhapatnam on October 2, 3, 4, 6 and October 7. Train No. 22702 Vijayawada-Visakhapatnam Uday Express, departing Vijayawada on October 2, 3, 4, 6, and October 7.
Train No. 17219 Machilipatnam-Visakhapatnam Express, departing Machilipatnam between October 2 and October 8. Train
No. 17220 Visakhapatnam-Machilipatnam Express, departing Visakhapatnam between October 3 to October 9.
Several trains have been diverted via Nidadavolu-Bhimavaram Town-Gudivada-Vijayawada route, instead of their regular route through Nidadavolu-Eluru-Vijayawada.
The trains diverted are:
Train No. 13351 Dhanbad-Alleppey Bokaro Express departing Dhanbad from October 1 to October 6 and on October 8, 2023. Due to diversion, the train will not touch Stops Tadepalligudem and Eluru.
Train No. 12889 Tata Nagar-SMV Bengaluru Express leaving Tata Nagar on October 6. Train No. 18111 Tata-Yeswanthpur Express leaving Tata Nagar on October 5. The train will avoid Eluru.
Train No. 12835, Hatia-SMV Bengaluru Express leaving on October 1, 3, and October 8. Train No. 12376 Jasidih-Tambaram Express departing Jasidih on October 4, 2023. The train will avoid Eluru. Train No. 22837 Hatia-Ernakulam AC Express leaving Hatia on October 2. The train will avoid Eluru.
