New Delhi: The second part of the Budget Session of Parliament will begin today. It will continue till 3rd of April. The Budget Session of Parliament had begun on 31st of January with the address of President Ram Nath Kovind to the joint sitting of both the Houses. It broke for recess on 11th February to allow parliamentary standing committees to examine the budgetary demands of various ministries made in the Union Budget 2020-2021. The Union budget was presented on 1st of last month.
During the second part of
the Budget session, demand for grants of various Ministries including Railways, Social Justice and Empowerment, Tourism and Health will be discussed. Besides, various Bills including the Medical Termination of Pregnancy (Amendment) Bill, the Direct Tax Vivad Se Vishwas Bill, the Aircraft (Amendment) Bill, the Central Sanskrit Universities Bill, the National Commission for Homoeopathy Bill and The Mineral Laws (Amendment) Bill will be taken up for consideration and passage during the session.
